Who are we?

Many of us are Americans with German ancestry. Some of us were born and grew up in Germany and moved here. Others are relatives or friends of persons with such backgrounds and have no German ancestry. All of us, though, are interested in learning about, preserving, and promoting the culture and traditions of Germany. Anyone with an interest in Germany and German affairs can become a member of the House of Germany.

What must I do as a member?

Members are required to host in the House of Germany on one Saturday or Sunday during the year. Refer to the Hosting section to learn more about how to sign up to host. In addition, members are encouraged to attend member meetings to share their ideas and suggestions concerning the House of Germany and its activities. There are several events for members throughout the year to get together and celebrate.

Refer to our calendar for upcoming member meetings and events.

Can my family join?

Family participation is encouraged. When parents join, their children under the age of 18 automatically become members. For those 18 years or over, an individual membership is required.

How much does the membership cost?
